On Saturday the weather was perfect and we planted 400 onions. A thunderstorm rolled in during the middle of the night and they got a big drink of water; we timed it perfectly! There are three different varieties of onions; red, white and yellow onions. When stored in a cool, dry environment, they keep for up to 3 months!
We anticipate having the onions available at our farm stand in July along with Sweet Corn. We are also going to fit in another row of 400 that will be ready about 2-4 weeks after this first planting.
Sunday was cold and dreary. We tried to finish laying ground cover but the wind and rain chased us out.
This week we start seeds for our watermelon and cantaloupe. I will be shooting video updates on Facebook and YouTube so be on the look out!
Have a great week!
